Special Guest Speech, Detailing the 50th Anniversary of China-Thailand Diplomatic Relations
The presence of Thailand's 27th Prime Minister H.E. Abhisit Vejjajiva was undoubtedly a highlight of this course. He shared the journey of cooperation between China and Thailand over the past 50 years of diplomatic relations, analyzing current investment opportunities and challenges. His speech provided valuable policy insights and an international perspective, stimulating the students' deep thinking about the bilateral relationship and Thai market.

On the afternoon of January 9th, the students collectively arrived at one of Thailand's largest enterprises, the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group). They were greeted by Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of CP Group and President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in China. Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont shared the global business layout and development strategies of CP Group and engaged in an in-depth discussion and exchange with the students on topics such as the business environment in Thailand, the latest industry trends, Sino-Thai trade relations, and family business succession. Mr. Chearavanont's viewpoints provided the students with valuable business insights and a sharing of the values of family businesses.

Dinner seminar with Bangkok Bank, discussing the frontiers of finance
Bangkok Bank warmly welcomed the student delegation on the evening of the 9th and hosted a dinner seminar. Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich, President of Pang Valley Bank, Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool, Senior Executive Vice President, and Ms. Tanita Sirirup, Director of the Foreign Investment Marketing Department of the Board of Investment of Thailand, attended the seminar.
During the seminar, Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich delivered a welcome speech. The Sophonpanich family holds a significant position at Pang Valley Bank in Thailand, with Chartsiri, as the CEO, inheriting the bank founded by his grandfather. Pang Valley Bank is the sixth-largest bank in Southeast Asia and the bank with the largest assets in Thailand, leading in international banking with a vast network of overseas branches. Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool provided a vivid and detailed presentation on the trends in Thailand's economic and financial market development. Ms. Tanita Sirirup introduced the preferential policies and support measures offered by the Board of Investment of Thailand to foreign investors, providing important information for entrepreneurs looking for investment opportunities in Thailand.

The Amata Corporation Sharing Session: In-depth Interpretation of ASEAN's Advantages
Amata Corporation PCL, a leading industrial park developer in Thailand, is chaired by the legendary Thai businessman Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, whose autobiography is a bestseller in Thailand. At his headquarters, Mr. Vikrom Kromadit warmly welcomed a group of students and shared insights on various topics. Amata operates multiple industrial parks in Thailand, employing approximately 7,000 Chinese staff, with a focus on high-tech sectors. Amata also plans to continue expanding its business into neighboring ASEAN countries such as Laos.

Review of Course Highlights
Thailand Economic Overview: The course was conducted by Professor Somporn Manarungsan, Dean of the CP All Management Institute, who, with his deep academic credentials and extensive practical experience, provided a thorough analysis of the Thai economy to the students. The professor detailed Thailand's macroeconomic structure, the current status of industrial development, foreign trade, and the potential drivers for future economic growth. Through this course, the students gained a more profound understanding of Thailand's economic environment.
Foreign Investment Law in Thailand: The session was led by Ms. Mayuree Saithip, a partner at Kudun & Partners, who shared her valuable experience and insights from handling foreign investment cases. She provided a detailed introduction to Thailand's overall policy framework for foreign investment, including the latest investment promotion measures and incentives. The lecture deeply analyzed the "Foreign Business Act," the "Investment Promotion Act," and related laws and regulations, interpreting the specific requirements and restrictions for foreign investors in Thailand. Additionally, the course covered the legal procedures and practical operations for foreign investors to establish companies, conduct mergers and acquisitions, and form joint ventures in Thailand. This helped the students better understand the legal environment for foreign investment in Thailand and provided them with a legal basis and strategic guidance for their investment decisions in the Thai market.
Cross-Cultural Leadership: Professor Guido Gianasso from HEC Paris delivered an outstanding lecture on cross-cultural leadership. Using case studies and group discussions, he taught the students how to communicate effectively, build teams, and lead changes in a multicultural setting. The students learned how to identify commonalities across different cultures, improving their cross-cultural sensitivity and adaptability.

In addition, the students collectively visited the Thai Parliament Building and observed a parliamentary debate, gaining an in-depth understanding of Thailand's political landscape. Furthermore, they visited the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) office, where they directly obtained information on the EEC's investment promotion policies and potential investment opportunities, providing them with firsthand material for their business decision-making.
