The PBC School of Finance (PBCSF), Tsinghua University successfully held the opening ceremony of the “Senior Executive Training Program for China Exim Bank’s Major Cooperative Partners”on October 30 in Beijing.
Officials and corporate senior executives from 19 Belt and Road (B&R) countries, participated in the 6-day training program, lasting from October 30th to November 4th. The program was co-hosted by Tsinghua PBCSF and China EximBank.
Mr. Zhou Hao, associate dean of Tsinghua PBCSF, Mr. Sun Ping, vice president of China Eximbank and Ms. Fatou Haidara, managing director of United Nations Industrial Development Organization joined the opening ceremony and delivered keynote speeches respectively.
The program mainly focused on China’s economic policy, the Belt and Road Initiative under the new global economic landscape, and international industrial capacity cooperation.
Lectures from distinguished experts and scholars enabled students to better understand China’s financial reform and Chinas economic development.
PBCSF also arranged several company visits for this program. On October 30th, program participants visited Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Sun Yuanjiang, principal communication officer of AIIB, made an introduction to AIIB’s investment principles and strategies.
On November 2nd, participants visited China Fortune Land Development Co., Ltd(CFLD) in Gu’an, Hebei province and made exchanges with representatives from CFLD. The industrial park of Gu’an is an ideal model for developing countries.
The program not only helped the B&R counties’ participants better understand China’s economy and finance, but also strengthened China Eximbank’s cooperation with overseas partners. China Eximbank spoke high of the program and said they hope to cooperate more with Tsinghua PBCSF in the future.
