In the newest Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputation Rankings released yesterday, Tsinghua ranks 14th globally, rising from 18th last year.

As a supplement to the THE World University Rankings, the THE World Reputation Rankings focus on the brand value of higher education institutions and evaluate various aspects including talent recruitment, commercial investment, research partnership, etc.

As a unique comprehensive university bridging China and the world, the recognition of Tsinghua in the new THE World Reputation Rankings is thanks to both our tremendous heritage accumulated in the past and the global strategy adopted in the new era.

Established in 1911, Tsinghua campus is set in the former imperial gardens of the Qing Dynasty and is recognized as the World’s Most Beautiful Campus by Forbes Magazine.

With the reemergence of China as an economic, scientific, and cultural powerhouse, Tsinghua is also evolving into a more innovative, more international, and more humanity-oriented higher education institution.

In order to further strengthen the university’s international cooperation and exchange, Tsinghua inaugurated a global strategy in 2016 to better prepare our students with broader perspectives and international outlook for the 21st century.

Currently, over 3,000 international students from 116 countries and regions are enrolled.

In addition, we signed exchange agreements and established partnerships with 48 countries and 271 universities globally.
