Tsinghua PBCSF Receives the First Class of its Belt and Road EMBA Program for Southeast Asia

BEIJING, China-May 11, 2017-Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance (PBCSF) today launched the Opening Ceremony for its first class of Tsinghua PBCSF B&R EMBA Program for Southeast Asia. The class were successfully admitted more than 50 entrepreneurs and senior executives from eight countries and regions with a significant number of them come from the Belt and Road Countries-Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Vice President and Provost of Tsinghua University, Prof. YANG Bing, Chairwoman and Dean of Tsinghua PBCSF, Madam WU Xiaoling both attended the Opening Ceremony and delivered a speech, respectively.
 


In his speech, Prof. YANG Bin pointed out that Tsinghua University aims to shape itself into a world-class university. It made efforts on promoting cooperation innovation and cultural exchanges, improving the overall teaching quality of higher education, and cultivating students to become leaders with global vision.
 
Prof. YANG then introduced the major approaches that the University has taken towards its internationalization since formulation of its landmark Global Strategy in 2016. He reckons that the B&R EMBA Program for Southeast Asia is to cultivate financial leaders who are familiar with international financial rules and practices and capable of financial innovation under the new normal, and outstanding entrepreneurs who can manage financial capital and guide industrial transformation and upgrading. He hopes the first class members of the Program can fulfil the role of pioneers and make concerted efforts to build the program into one of the most advanced regarding the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
