Tsinghua PBCSF Program Holds Southeast Asia Information Session

On January 12th, 2017, Tsinghua PBCSF Program Southeast Asia Information Session was held in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia. WANG Jingwei, PBCSF Assistant Dean and Director of EMBA Center, CAI Kan, Vice Director of Executive Education Center, LI Yuanzhen, Vice Director of EMBA Center, and over a hundred entrepreneurs and Financiers attended the Session.

Mr. Cai introduced the opportunities of the rapid development of Chinese Economy, 105 years development history of Tsinghua University, and the role of PBCSF in the China’s financial reform in the past three decades.

In the past decade, there were 64 EMBA programs in China, cultivating tens of thousands of entrepreneurs and financiers. Most of the program students are high level executives with over 20 years of managing experience. The number of EMBA students in China is large, with every program recruiting hundreds of students. The EMBA programs also provide a wide communication and co-operation platform.

Mr. WANG Jingwei introduced the features, curriculums, faculty, and alumni of Tsinghua PBCSF Southeast Asia Program. Integrating over 30 years of experience, the vast educational resources, and the co-operations with central bank and regulatory institutions, the program is tailored and tied closely to China’s financial reform practice.

Nowadays, South East Asian Countries are increasing their communications with China, attracting more Chinese investors, increasing co-operations in transportation and infrastructure instruction, and improving mutual benefits. In the aspect of education, universities from both China and Southeast Asian countries are engaging in global education and close culture communications.

Tsinghua PBC School of Finance expects to recruit more entrepreneurs and high level executives in Southeast Asia. The program is aimed to educate the students about financial management, utilizing resource distribution, improving enterprise development, understanding Chinese economy’s rapid development, and enhancing business acumen. The program also aims to promote further co-operation, and mutual benefit through study communications between Southeastern and Chinese entrepreneurs.

In the information session, general concerned questions including study method, degree accreditations, tuition fees and expenses were raised and answered.

Tsinghua PBCSF Program (Southeast Asia), with the duration of 2-3 years, will be taught in China and Southeast Asian countries, mainly in English. The program is a part-time course, taught twice every 3 months in China and Southeast Asian Country in turns. The course mainly consists of case studies, group discussions, virtual practice, and lectures. By fulfilling the required course credit and thesis, the students will gain a Graduate Diploma from Tsinghua University and EMBA certificate from PBC School of Finance.
