Jakarta, Indonesia - On May 12, 2023, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) EMBA Program of Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance held an admissions information session in Jakarta, Indonesia, providing information on its curriculum, faculty, and application process. The event attracted participants from various industries and backgrounds interested in pursuing one of the most prestigious EMBA programs in Asia.

Kan Cai, Associate Director of the Center for Finance EMBA began the event by highlighting China's role as a significant engine of global economic growth. He then went on to discuss the essence of the BRI project, emphasizing its importance in connecting countries and promoting economic development. He explained how the BRI EMBA program is a unique program linking BRI countries to China, which offers an unparalleled opportunity for those interested in finance.
The BRI EMBA Program provides students with a comprehensive finance-focused curriculum instructed in English. The program is structured to run for a duration of 2-3 years, with a learning mode that is both flexible and immersive. The curriculum is delivered through one cross-regional class module every 1.5 to 2 months, allowing students the opportunity to study in different countries, interact with students from diverse backgrounds, and gain a deeper understanding of the global economy.

Following Cai’s introduction, Dr. Qinghong Yang, a distinguished faculty member of the program, shared his insights and experiences with the participants. As a former senior advisor at the United Nations Office of South-South Cooperation, Dr. Yang brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. He discussed how the BRI EMBA program is uniquely positioned to help students take advantage of the opportunities presented by the BRI. He provided insights into the program's finance-focused curriculum and shared his experiences working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. He explained how the program fosters a collaborative learning environment that encourages students to learn from each other and work together to achieve their goals.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn about the various steps involved in applying to the program, as well as the different requirements that need to be met for admission. Participants were given a detailed breakdown of the different criteria used to evaluate applicants.
